The family originated in Wadi Hanifa, where farming was not merely a profession but a way of life. The father of the current generation, Mohammed bin Rasheed Almutairi, was born and raised on a farm where the date palm was considered part of the household. From an early age, he learned the intricacies of palm cultivation from his father. Life later led him into trade, where he worked for many years, yet his passion for farming never faded. In 2007, he decided to return to his first connection with the land by acquiring a farm in Al-Ghat, Riyadh Province. This farm was not initially meant as a commercial venture, but rather as a family retreat where he could revive his childhood passion. His meticulous care yielded dates of exceptional quality, which he believed deserved to be presented in the premium dates market. His son’s carried forward this legacy, developing and enhancing it into what became Mohammed Alrasheed Agricultural Company a corporate entity that honors and extends the family’s rich heritage.
