Khudari Date
A variety of dates known as sweet dates are semi-dry and firm in texture. Due to their long shelf life and well-balanced flavor, Khudari dates are very popular. These versatile dates taste delicate, like a combination between fruit gum and honey. They offer essential nutrients and are abundant in vitamins and minerals.
Sukari Date
This specific type of date is very popular and is occasionally referred to as “royal dates.” Large and elongated, Sukari dates have a pleasantly smooth, almost jelly-like feel and an intense amber hue. They are typically sun-dried and have a chewy texture and are prized for their exquisite sweetness and delicacy. Dates’ shapes reflect the different farming methods used in their cultivation. Sagai Date
Sagai dates are medium-sized, elongated, firm, oval shaped, and have colors ranging from light brown to golden yellow. Sagai dates are prized for their versatility in both fresh and dried applications. Farmers harvest the dates using a specialized funnel that covers its top, which enhances its visual appeal. Whether served fresh or dried, Segai maintains its desirable properties across all optimal storage conditions
Khalas Date
Khalas signifies essence, coming from the Arabic word “Khalas”. The rectangular shape, average size, and reddish dark brown color of Khalas dates set them apart. The juicy flesh of these dates is chewy and sweet, with a rich flavor similar to that of caramel. They are easy to store and contain a high amount of molasses. They have been shown to help in improved digestion and have a high concentration of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. The two most common varieties of dates are the red and black Khalas.
Ajwa Date
Ajwa is praised for its smooth, creamy texture and rich, almost chocolate-like flavor.
